Jay-Z "D.O.A." Radio Rip

The only 40 year rapper still doing it like this. History was made tonight as fans worldwide waited in anticipation as to whether Young or Old Hov was gonna be in the building. General consensus is that Jiggaman came back, and with an effin' vengeance.

Further documented proof that Hip Hop is still alive.

Boom.

  6. Hovarated! The beat is lame and the flow has the rhythm of the Carlton Dance (http://youtube.com/watch?v=zS1cLOIxsQ8). I keep telling yall Cube is the real 40yo King.

  11. Way too much S. Dolt Carter nut hugging here, with all respect to our host, Mr. Jack.

Maybe-- just maybe-- Jay should buy a rhyme book and, think about how to write in CHARACTER (like Nas sometimes does), because this middle-aged dick-waving is tiresome.

In a similar veteran vein, I'll Ice Cube's last album was better than this and while I thought "Kingdom Come" was a solid effort that tried to assay his real station in life, "American Gangster" was about as imaginative as its title.
(And the Brooklyn Nets are where again? Way to front for the biggest white scumbags in the real estate game.)

PREDICTION: Blueprint 3 = Godfather 3, believe it, and without even a slow handjob from Sofia Coppola as compensation.

  13. Man...Jay-Z is really on one lately. Between "Jockin Jay-Z," "Brooklyn Go Hard," and this, I'm in awe of jigga.

He's the greatest alive, and continues to prove the hip-hop world exactly why he's remained dominant for over a decade.

No ID on the beat! Blackout 3 is going to slap a lot of people in the mouth..

  14. This is prob. a tip of the iceberg... I'm hoping he comes with the nuclear heat on the album. I like it tho', don't get me wrong. He still gotta deliver the crazy, untouchable shit for the BP3 tho'. it says a lot for Hov tho', when STILL he can come with a joint and turn everyone on their ear like he has with this. I cant even say it's one of those "just cause it's Jay" moments cause he hasnt had a record set the world on fire in a while... but eyyy'body's talkin' about this one.

  15. I like the intent of this song more than the song itself. The same is true of the KRS Buckshot Robot joint. I'm all for trashing the lazy biting and gimmicks, but this one doesn't really move me.

Predictably, though, the white rock critic backlash has begun.
