Fucking Cam'ron. I hate that his albums require multiple listen to's before judging the final product, eccentric bastard. Been banging this piece for a week now. An acquired taste yes, but fuego nonetheless. A public apology to all Cam fans.
+ 3/4Killa!
It so true with all of his albums

ReplyDeleteno sir, u had it right, its wack. really..it is.
ReplyDeleteConfessions of Fire< S.D.E< Come Home with Me> Purple Haze> Killa Season> Crime Pays
ReplyDeleteKilla Season is one of my favorite albums to come out that year, but I was very diapointed upon first listen. You have to take the time to get inside Killa's head, and although the subject matter is the same unispired crack+violence, the word play and and overall creativity is out of this world. Cam is one of the only rappers making crack rap still listenable.
ReplyDeleteJim Jones= one of the wost rappers ever, but hustles hard and is humble enough to ask for help.
ReplyDeleteJuelz Santana=Good rapper, but is absolutely corny. He has a mixtape the Regan Era??? Crack crack blah blah blah.. Dude was 7 in 1990. He was born in 1983. Dude never sold a rock of crack in his life. Signed to Cam when he was 17 and was on to of biggest songs of 2000 when he was 19.. Dude needs to talk about something he knows.. Like whistles.
...just lol'd at the last come on here, "like whistles"
ReplyDeleteNo I think you were right the first time. And Cam is my favorite rapper too.
ReplyDeleteThis is what you should have did with Em's record. I'm sorry CJ, but this is by far Killa's worst record. It is truly horrible. I'm a big fan and was excited about this album. It sucks. And I think Relapse is Em's best album. Listen to it again. I didn't like it at 1st either but it grew on me fast.
ReplyDeleteHorrible album. I almost feel like Cam sent someone over to shake you CJ.
ReplyDeleteProps for admitting you had a change of heart (no Game).
ReplyDeletewhere I know you from? scrams...where I know you from?
ReplyDeletealbum is great after a few listens, cam's wordplay is out of this world and his constant flow changing keeps every song interesting, love the album glad you had a change of heart
ReplyDeletei'm w/ ya jack. i had to give the album multiple spins before making my judgment. there is a few instant skips ("woo hoo", "spend the night"), and it's hard to still knock "cookies & applejuice" considering i've had it on deck for like 2 months, but overall solid return. cam, you either love him or hate him.
ReplyDeleteU outta order shortie, u should learn rank...ya baby moms though we call her the bank, crazy hoe, word baby bro....madd genorous...giving out fellatio!
ReplyDeleteI honestly think most reviews render themselves invalid because most folks just listen to the work in 1 or 2 listens. Maybe not even 2 solid listens.
ReplyDeletePeople rarely get to sit down, relax and digest the music, so to speak. After all, how often have you listened to a work, only to realize later that either appreciate or don't care for a project.
Ever hear new lyrics or phrasing and find a new meaning in it after several listens? Albums that require multiple listens are usually great.
Killa Season < Crime Pays
ReplyDeleteYes the album is not what i expected but it's better than some of his prior shit, Curve, I got it for cheap, Ohio joint, Spend The Night etc there's some sick records on CP
I totally agree at first listen I hated this album but the more you hear it the more it grows on you.
ReplyDeleteThe problem Cam has is he is compared to himself but if you compare him to what is out now he is easily one of the best
